• For forty years you had faithfully adhered to your religion’s strict practices of fasting, prayers, rituals, and good works
• You were respected as a leader in your religious and local community, enjoying the honor of your peers and family
• You’d been taught from childhood to revere and obey spiritual leaders who look like you, speak your language, and wear the same kind of clothes you wear
• Everyone in your world puts their hope and confidence in these men of special blessing
• You know that following any other religious path will cost you many friends, the support of your family, and the respect you have earned in your community…

…Would news of another way to peace with God be good news to you?

PRAISE

“From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!
The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens!” (Psalm 113:3-4)

KINGDOM COME

(The Parable of the Net) “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind.” (Matthew 13:47-50)

May Senegalese of every kind be brought in Your glorious Kingdom, even this month. We pray for wealthy and poor, educated and uneducated, religious and secular, young and old to be among the ’good fish’ at the end of the age. Father, draw thousands of men and women from every ethnic group in Senegal into your glorious redemptive kingdom.

PRAY THE BOOK OF ACTS

Paul reasoned daily in the hall of Tyrannnus and we’re told “this continued for two years, so that all the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.” (Acts 19:10)

God of heaven and earth, empower believers in Senegal to boldly, faithfully, and consistently proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom so that all the residents of Senegal would hear the word of the Lord and have an opportunity to respond to it. Give your people a deep desire for your Word so they can “reason” with Words of biblical truth and love with those around them.

PRAY THE HALL OF FAITH

“By faith Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin.” (Hebrews 11:24-25)

Lord, give the believers in Senegal an eternal perspective to find pleasure in You more than in the fleeting pleasures of sin. Give them a passion for your Kingdom and your righteousness that outshines the lures of fame, fortune, and success with which this world tempts us. As they do, may their faithful Christian lives be a powerful testimony to their watching family and friends.

PRAYER

Lord, we pray for believers in Senegal to not only esteem knowing but also doing. May they be people of action and word, and may their words and actions testify to the deep and enduring transformation you are working into their daily lives. May that transformation be compelling to others you are drawing to yourself to explore the power that can change lives.
