An unreached or least-reached people is an ethnic group among which there is no indigenous community of believing Christians with adequate numbers and resources to evangelize their own people without an “external witness” or outside assistance. Most missiologists consider 2% of the population becoming Christ followers or 5% professing Christians (includes Roman Catholics) as the “tipping point” at which the group is generally considered “reached” with the Gospel.
There are 38 people groups that are indigenous to Senegal. Only one small people group is considered partially reached and 18 other small groups are minimally reached. That leaves 19 people groups, over 14 million (82%) of Senegal’s people, unreached.

KINGDOM COME
“And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people.” (Matthew 4:23)
Pray for the proclamation of the Gospel to be accompanied by miracles and signs and wonders throughout Senegal.
PRAY THE BOOK OF ACTS
“And in your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” (Acts 3:25b)
Lord, please fulfill your promise to Abraham among the many Senegalese families spread from the north to the south. May they devote themselves to joining in the blessing of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
PRAY THE HALL OF FAITH
“By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous…” (Hebrews 11:4a)
Convict Senegalese Muslims during this year’s Ramadan fast, Lord, that unrighteous men and women can only be made right before you on your terms through faith, not on man’s terms of self-righteousness.
PRAYER
Father, we pray that the people of Senegal will grow to desire and hunger for your word. Open their eyes to the truth and beauty of the gospel of Jesus. Break down the cultural and religious barriers that keep them from considering and knowing your written word.
