Muslims have no assurance of where they will go when they die. They can faithfully keep all the tenants of Islam their entire lives, but if Allah chooses, he can deny them entrance into heaven upon death. However, they don’t believe they will be sent directly to hell. Only non-Muslims and horribly immoral and mean Muslims go directly to hell. For “good” Muslims, if their family on earth prays for them enough, they will have a second chance at heaven.
This lack of assurance has stirred discontent in the hearts of some Muslims. As they have sought answers to where they will go when they die, they have found the truth of who Jesus is and what he has done satisfies that longing and brings them hope.
“Praise the Lord, all nations! Extol him, all peoples!” (Psalm 117:1)
“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)
As your followers in Senegal enter into spiritually dark and difficult places, may they exercise the Kingdom authority you have delegated to your Church through Christ Jesus. As your ambassadors may they daily represent you well and may their service in your holy kingdom be a pleasing sacrifice in your eyes.
We pray that every believer in Senegal would “remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).
Father, may every disciple of Jesus believe these words deep down in their soul. May our lives constantly reveal that we truly do believe it is more blessed to give to others, than to receive from others—whether spiritual blessings or material blessings. We pray that every believer would experience the deep joy of giving the gift of Christ to others.

“He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward.” (Hebrews 11:26)
Awaken Senegalese Christians to the greater wealth of Christ–the joy, peace, hope, and future found only in Jesus. May hundreds of thousands esteem Christ more than any treasure they could possibly find here on earth.
Father, we pray for believers in Senegal to know how to meet, pray, learn, grow, fellowship, and practice obeying and sharing in simple churches. We pray they will take initiative to study your word together and pray together, that they might stand firm in Christ in the face of difficulties and times of discouragement.
We also pray you will stir up questions in the hearts of Muslims that Islam cannot answer. In their discontent, send them on a search for answers and hope that only Jesus can give them.
